Introduction
Heevie Organization, as a national non-governmental organization working in the humanitarian field for the last 17 years, has
continued providing the support and assistance for the vulnerable population throughout the different crises affected regions in
Iraq.
Heevie Organization, by the support of the health office of His Excellency the President of Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Mr.
Nechirvan Barzani, and through the wide network of partnerships with the national, international and UN agencies, was successful
to guarantee the necessary support for its different projects and activities. The long experience in the humanitarian field and the
availability of the expert human resources made Heevie able to design, develop and implement the planned activities in the best
quality and within the suitable time frame.
During the year 2022, Heevie organization continued implementing its different projects and activities aiming to respond to the
needs and requirements of the different population groups mainly the IDPs, returnees and the host community in the different
regions and governorates. Heevie activities has covered different levels of service provision involving the below categories:
1. Registering and treating patients with congenital heart diseases and chronic and difficult to be treated illnesses.
2. Providing primary health care services both through the static clinics and the mobile medical clinics
3. Providing mental health services and psychosocial support services
4. Providing the physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation services
5. Training and capability building of the health staff
6. Establishing, rehabilitation and renovation of health facilities
7. Providing medicines and medical supplies
8. Supporting local healthcare facilities
Heevie Organization has been able to provide equitable, safe and free access to healthcare services for tens of thousands of
vulnerable and crises affected populations. This report includes details of the activities and projects implemented by Heevie
organization during the year 2022, highlighting the various aspects of these projects, the beneficiaries’ details, the areas of
implementation and the other related aspects.
