During the year 2019, Heevie Organization continued implementing its projects and activities aiming to provide the humanitarian assistance to the people in need throughout the country. Heevie was able to respond to the health and medical needs of (449,026) patients through various projects covered multiple locations in different areas involving the crisis and war affected regions.
The services provided were on the primary, secondary and tertiary health care levels. The primary health care services provided were both in curative and preventive and involved clinical examination, treatment, reproductive health services, mental health, psychosocial support, nutrition, vaccination, dental, laboratory, ultrasound, minor surgeries, health education and promotion and referral services to the secondary and higher health care centers.
On the secondary and tertiary levels, Heevie continued its program for treating children with congenital heart diseases in addition to the activities for supporting MOH facilities and capacity building for the local medical staff.
Heevie, as an active member of the national and local health cluster, continued participating actively in different meetings, workshops and committees with an optimum coordination with the local health authorities and international parties.
